Why do I need a crown?

In some cases, it may be necessary to protect a tooth with a dental crown. A crown is a hygiene cover made of porcelain or metal or a combination of both. A crown protects the tooth and gives the tooth support and stability. A crown is needed, for example, when a filling is too big and has no basis any more, or a tooth has previously had a root canal treatment and thereby has become quite vunerable, or a crown can be recommended for aesthetic reasons. What is a bridge?

If one or more teeth are missing, a bridge can be used to replace the missing tooth or teeth. A bridge consists of at least two crowns (Pillar) and one or more bridge between parts (Dummy), which are connected to each other. Following an x-ray, the dentist can assess whether the pillar teeth are suitable for a bridge.

A bridge or an implant?

Missing elements can be also replaced with an implant.
